Dr. Duncan Peck MacDougall was a research scientist at the Explosives Research Laboratory and the Los Alamos Scientific Labarotory in the explosives division during World War II. He headed Project Q for the Manhattan Project, which dealt with implosive experimentation. For his work, he was awarded the Medal for Merit by President Truman in an award ceremony conducted by General Omar N. Bradley.
